ABOUT US
We are a family of four; mum Jeanette, dad Espen and two children. The children Johan and Isabel have reached a state of independence in life, and have settled in respectively London and Drammen.
The family home is centrally located in the river city of Drammen in the south east of Norway, forty kilometers outside the capital Oslo. We are within extremely easy reach of the woods on the outskirts of the city, and the beach in the centre of it.
We were first introduced to the breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniel when we were on the outlook for out first family dog in 2006. Later the same year our dreams came through when we bought Lucas, Soemaan’s New Fortune O’Heartbreaker, from Kirsten Sømaaen, Sømaan Cavaliers.
He was six months old at the time and has turned out to be a fantastic male Tricolor with a unique and charming disposition. After Lucas moved into our home and our hearts, we fell in love with this wonderful breed.
Barely six months later the second addition to our family arrived. Imre; Sømaan's I'm A Dream Star, also came from Kirsten Sømaaen. This little boy has in time proved that a dog can have a personality more complex than most people could imagine. He is simply a cleaver creature with unexpected and entertaining acts of expression. He loved to entertain; he thrives on being the centre of attention.
In time an additional three boys and one girl have found the way to our hearts. Our Cavaliers live with us as a part of the family and of course they all living with us in the house, not in an outside kennel. We could not imagine life without. They give us a sense of happiness and love that is unimaginable for strangers; no matter if the occasion is a walk in nature or a nap together on the sofa.
We are deeply concerned with breeding and the challenges it brings to the table. Our dogs that are lent out for the cause of breeding will in accordance to the guidelines of NCK have been tested for Mitral Valve Disease, eye problems and slipping patella's. A training program by NCK for future breeders was completed in October 2009, but the Kennel is yet to be named.
